I understand, but still find (found) it odd that Boeing runs articles praising aircraft built by companies they've bought. I understand it's now part of the corporate culture of Boeing, but it's stiil a strange fit................must be the differences between old guys who remember and new kids that just flat don't know.

Here's a link to a more "down home" article. The American Airpower Museum ran an event last week to commemorate the beloved Gooney Bird's birthday.

I guess I should have clarified my statement a bit more-Boeing runs these 'heritage' articles in every issue of FRONTIERS the Boeing in house puff rag.
