I was just watching the news on the tube and on comes a commercial for some 'crossover/suv/mommy box' from Mitsubishi that has more odd angles than a starved cow racing around on an airport ramp somewhere. In the background in a couple of shots is an EVERGREEN AIR 747 freighter.

I saw part of the same commercial but must have missed the 747. I would like to know what former military field they used!

Given that the Evergreen 747 tanker is stationed at the San Bernardino AirTanker base, and that the large, tan building in the distance is the Loma Linda University Medical Center; and this area is 85 miles from Hollywood with an existing history of film shoots there (Fast and the Furiuos, etc)....I'd say it's the San Bernardino International Airport....or as some remember it, Norton AFB.

I thought EVERGREEN had given up on the fire tanker and removed all the equipment-Thanks for the location of the aeropuerto

Their website still has it listed as active, with the last news story being its deployment to Israel on December 4, 2010. Last time I saw it a SBIA was just before that. The fire season here usually ends in December, that's when the Mars left last year- so I don't expect to see it again this year.
