Wow, great story! That reads like a James Bond novel. Pretty exciting and unnerving!

FWIW, Paul Allen's Mig-29's should be flying soon. Last I heard, there were doing engine runs and taxi tests on one of them.

Anyone can ride in a Mig-29, you just have to have the money to do so. Incredible Adventures has been selling rides in any Mig of your choosing from the Mig-21 to Mig-31 for several years now.

I know that 20 years ago when the Russian Mig-29's were visiting all the airshows in the States for the first time, they were selling 20 minute rides for $10,000. I would guess that a ride in a Mig-29 would cost AT LEAST that much today, probably more.

warbirder ron stone from sandusky ohio was 1 of the 1st persons in the nation to take a hop in a mig 29. he paid 20 grand for what i believe was a 1/2 hour jaunt. this was a few years after the collapse of the ussr, & the russkies were selling anything for a ruble. ron made all the papers in ohio for certain. it was at 1 of the cleveland air shows on labor day early 90's.
