The Royal Australian Air Force bade farewell to the General Dynamics F-111 yesterday, December 3rd with a final flypast at RAAF Base Amberly in Queensland. The F-111's served the RAAF for 37 years. Four of the surviving airframes will be preserved including the example now on display in the Strike Hangar at the RAAF Museum Point Cook. The remaining 17 airframes will be scrapped.

Thanks for the photos... any chances of seeing a few more... especially of the flame thrower fuel dump I heard happened, and I'd also be interested in seeing more photos of the dump too. Not sure why aircraft dumps fascinate me so much, but they do!

Cheers,
Richard
