I wonder if the Earl T. Reinert Victory Air Museum tour bus will make it to the west coast?

That website has a conspicuous lack of useful information on it. Who is the museum curator? Is anything available for viewing?

I emailed the contact address yesterday - I know the person who owns the B-25 nose and I'll see if it's the same guy, and if so I'll ask him if he ended up with the P-43 main gear and wheels.

2 Killed In Air Crash In Wauconda
June 29, 1985

The owner of a Mundelein <Victory> air museum and an aerial photographer were killed Friday when their 45-year-old single-engine airplane crashed in a Lake County, Ill., hay field. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board said the cause of the crash was not immediately known. Those killed were Amilio Paul Polidori, 72, of 28944 N. Gilmer Rd., Mundelein, a veteran flyer and owner of the Polidori Air Museum, a collection of a dozen World War II-era fighter planes; and James Pribilski, 59, of 419 Park St., Mundelein.

I visited a number of times in high school. I remember sitting in the "ready room" next to Paul's hangar staying warm from the fire in the pot bellied stove. Lots of good memories and dreams. I really liked sitting in the 109 but you realy had to watch out for the wasps (not the P&W kind either)!

Earl was a real interesting character!
