And now, for something a little different. . . :D

I shot this one at Cancun International Airport on November 21, 2010:

I assume this is Mexico's version of Con Air so I find it funny and a bit odd that it carries 'BOEING 727' emblazoned on it's nose, like the bad guys really care 'A 727!?! NO-I only ride on DC-9's' and I wonder who her original operator was. I do like the 'old skool' suede paint job.

I suppose they could use this "Seven Two" as a prisoner transport, but on this day, she was transporting a whole mess o' Federales and their gear.

I did some internet searching using the registration, XC-NPF. There are many photos of this aircraft posted on various web sites, especially on Airliners.net. She has worn several paint schemes, including all white, "black suede" with white trim, and the all-"black suede" version she currently wears. None of the photos, however, show her immediately after a whole plane-load of Federales had just disembarked! 8) She definitely turned a lot of heads as she taxied past the waiting lounges at the Cancun passenger terminal, filled with thousands of stunned tourists who'd never seen such a thing in their home countries!

A little off-topic but. . . You ain't lived until you've been drawn down on by an angry Federale wielding a loaded AK-47. If you ever run into me in person, ask me about that little slice of heaven.
