She was supposed to visit War Eagles and be part of the show in Amigo Airsho this year, but I understand she is down for the count and won't be back in the air til much later in the month. Is that correct?

I got to fly left seat Sept 6, she left Tennessee the next day for Bowling Green and shortly thereafter they canceled the rest of the tour for mechanical reasons, but I don't know specifics.

Hi Cliff, Chuck was asking me the same thing when I was at Santa Teresa this past weekend. SJ was having issues with the number 3 engine with metal showing up in the screen. Our engine builder who resides on Falcon Field with us recommended we bring the plane back since the engine was still under warranty. They found some broken valve springs and have repaired those issues but as far as what the short term future holds, I have no idea what's going on. I was told that the plane won't be going to ST or Amigo though.

Thanks Chris!

I am disappointed to here that she has (had) issues, but glad to hear all will be well.

It is always fun when SJ visits at War Eagles. It is a more open air field, one that the TSA has yet to ruin. A friend owns a 1943 Willys MB and an L-4 and we usually take one of those to park next to Sentimental Journey which helps to draw attention.
