MiG-23 taxi test rides?

Wed Oct 13, 2010 9:58 pm

Floating the idea of taxi-test rides in the MiG-23 to defray the costs of putting fuel into it leading up to afterburner test.

Each ground test like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2DhEH4T5hw uses about 100 liters of Jet A, so you can see how things add up pretty quickly.

We're thinking of offering a full cockpit briefing, taxi test where the rider gets to push the throttle up, swing the wings, etc. like in the video for about $300; this makes $200 of the cost a tax-deductible donation to the museum.

Of course, this would include all the pictures and video you can take. :-)

Good idea? Any takers? Contact me at jon@cwam.org if you're interested.
