With the time limit on getting them out of there, they will end up as beer cans. Being one of the few that has ever taken a P2V apart, I can tell you without a doubt, that neither Neptune or the P-3 could be removed from the property in a rebuildable form within the time window. Even in the best of conditions and with all the support needed, it takes more than 100 manhours just to get one outer wing panel ready to disconnect, and that's if you are not caring about keeping it flyable.

It would be a bad deal if those P2V's got cut up. I wonder if those R-3350's are in any sort of shape. I wonder if you could haul the good stuff out of the way and leave the other stuff. At least it would not all be junked.

I wonder - can anyone see the tail code better than I can? these, "gotta be here yesterday" type sales make me wonder how legit they really are. Too bad if these planes get hacked up and dumped - they would make great static displays.
I would love to have a P-2 that people could actually walk through and sit in without a curator holding your hands the whole time - just checking your pockets as you get out
