The photographer that took all the photos with the Black Backdrop is Dan Patterson...I heard that he is making the Mustang Book, and I will find out when it will be out. I went to a Photographer symposium here recently and someone that knows Dan said that he is making the Mustang Book.

Which one declined? Guess one would need the book

I believe it was the owner of the ex-Gary McCann one, totally unpainted except for the remnants of the old black scheme on the carb air intake lip.

For a photo of that one, go to the PlatinumFighters.com site.

The book that they have on the site is a steal for $7.50. I am sure that the coffee table book will blow it away, but it is still a cool book. Lots of pics and the stories of the legends.

Thanks Vlado, I remember talking to them, nice people and don't blame them. But I would still want my A/C in the book to be part of the history of the greatest ever airshow....

Ladies & Gentlemen: Angela here with The Gathering Foundation writing to you in regards to the posts that you have posted for the Gathering of Mustangs & Legends Book. Have we done a book - are we doing a book??? No - the book is not complete - We are still trying to raise the funds to complete the book. The Foundation is a Non-Profit entity and we simply did not have the funds after the event. In the meantime however, there has been and we continue to make progress on the book. Example: We have photographs from over 30 photographers and Mr. Paul Bowen is the Photo Editor for the Book. We have the Cover completed as well as the Layout design. The Book will be hardbound with over 200 pages in it. We continue to strive to raise the funds to do the "Coffee Table" Book. If you would like to continue to receive add'l information on it, or wish to help out please email me at: Angela@GatheringFoundation.org or sign up for our E-News online at: www.GatheringFoundation.org. Hi Angela

Have you offered advanced sales. It would help finance the book

We will do the Pre-Sales. However, that does still not take away the monies that need to be raised to cover the initial costs, which are substantial on a book such as this. If you know of the Paul Bowen Air-to-Air series, it will comparable in quality, size, etc. We unfortunately cannot simply rely on pre-sales to cover those costs and once the book is delivered, total monies are due. Price of business I guess, but we will get there one way or another, or we will let everyone know that it is not happening as soon as possible. Main focus is that our plan IS to do the book... more sooner than later is our hope. :-)
