Or is it just a moving tribute to the mighty B−24 Liberator? A technically and historically accurate salute to the most widely produced heavy bomber of World War II?

No. You're gonna laugh so hard you cry.

I'm just saying, if I don't hear at least one other warbird crew quote this video at the next airshow we attend, I'm going to be disappointed...

Until then, "Boom boom, roun' roun', propellers go!"

I can only assume that Granger Smith has an appreciation for the ol B-24. What's his story? Can anyone shed some light on this seemingly strange choice of rap song?

It's cool to see though, but kinda cheesy. He mentions jet fuel, but from what I've learned using a quick google search, those are av-gas burning motors on the plane.

"Boom boom, roun' roun', propellers go!"

Granger does indeed have an appreciation for the B-24. His grandfather flew them during the war, which was the primary reason that I set him up to get to fly on the airplane. I knew they were filming something, but I had no idea it would turn out like this. It's different, but not necessarily in a bad way. I certainly never figured I would hear of a B-24 in a rap song!

His background...he is a Texas Country artist...not a rapper. He also mentions the B-24 in another song of his called "5 More Minutes", in which he mentions his grandfather, while the rest is about wishing you had 5 more minutes to spend with someone you've lost.

He was very excited to get to fly on the '24 and was thrilled with the flight, even saying it was quite emotional at times.

But as usual, they end up turning their backs to him.

Since most of you haven't met Jack Cook in person, I'm sure you were all surpised that he had taken time out of his busy schedule to showcase his musical talents for you as well. :D
