After reading more into some of the other posts that I skipped. I am coming to realize that some are probably directing their negative attitude towards threads such as I posted about color dislikes, authentic warbird markings, and other HISTORICAL discussions. I am actually offended by this. This forum deals with history and details about these warbirds. I enjoy talking about details and I don't understand why some get offended by them? None of my posts or others are meant to be negative. Just trying to start an interesting discussion. Scott is the boss here and if there is something not within the subject lines of WIX he would get rid of it. As far as I remember Scott told me personally this place is for everyone that has an interest for warbirds and aviation history. I have done my share of contributing, including trying to help Scott gain more monthly donations, I donated a large sum to the HAG B-23 project, I volunteer at Geneseo when I can, and I research early WWII subjects. All in all its not much really compared to everyone else here and I admit that. WIX is a great place because so many people willing to share their projects and flying with us. I don't take that for granted. Sorry for the rant but really it is bothering me a lot when people bash others that might not be up at a higher level as others and think we don't have the right to discuss our likes and dislikes. Also don't care for the comments that only pilots and professionals should post on WIX. Not cool at all. This is something I really couldn't keep quiet about and I am sorry for downgrading this thread as I will admit that. I just had to get it out there. Nothing against Tulio or anyone. Thanks.
Nathan, where in the world did you get the impression about any of what you wrote? Nobody, as far as I can tell, has bashed any of the thread topics, said anybody not involved in warbird activity is not worthy to post, or said that pilots or professionals only should post on WIX. Restricting this forum in any of those ways would be a HUGE mistake. Everybody is equally important here, and everyone has something to bring to the table. This forum is only as good as it's participants and the thread topics will be guided by it's members. A lot of people tend to post threads in the wrong forum or sub-forum and get flak because of that. Are you misinterpreting that for the "negative attitudes and thread-bashing"?
I don't know, did I miss something in another thread that makes you feel this way? I'm just curious, because I have not seen anyone suggest anything of what you wrote above. Is somebody PM-ing you with these?
