The September 2010 Desktop Calendars and Wallpapers are now available from the Warbird Depot website (http://www.warbirddepot.com/desktop_calendars.asp), this month includes:

1. Will Whiteside displaying Bob Button’s highly modified N.A. P-51D Mustang "Voodoo" (Race 5) overhead Yolo County Airport west of Sacramento, CA.

2. John Currenti flying the Commemorative Air Force’s Douglas A-24B Dauntless over the Texas oil fields at the 2005 CAF FINA Airsho in Midland, TX. This year’s CAF FINA Airsho will be held on October 9-10.

3. Based in Masterton, New Zealand with The Old Stick & Rudder Company is Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk (NZ3009). It is seen being flown by well known UK based display pilot Stuart Goldspink in the sky over Marlborough, New Zealand on the practice day at Classic Fighter 2009.

4. Steven Hinton rounds pylon 2 in “Strega” (Race 7), a highly modified N.A. P-51D Mustang owned by Bill "Tiger" Destefani. Hinton won the Unlimited Gold Championship at the 2009 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV at a record speed of 491.8220 mph. This year’s Air Races will be held on September 15-19.

5. Crowd favorite “Air Biscuit” (Race 2), a Grumman FM-2 Wildcat (86572 N86572) being flown by Tom Camp during the Sunday Bronze race at the 2009 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.

6. Dr. Brent Hisey is seen in his N.A. P-51D Mustang (44-74536 N991R) “Miss America” (Race 11), during the Sunday Bronze race at the 2007 National Championship Air Races.

7. Race 33, a highly modified Lancair Legacy flown by well known race and test pilot Darryl Greenamyer at the 2009 National Championship Air Races.

8. Marilyn "Dasher" Dash in her Pitts S-1S "Ruby" (Race 4) rounding the pylons at the 2009 National Championship Air Races in Reno, NV.

9. Philip Goforth flying his Formula One Stratocaster "Knotty Girl” (Race 69) at the 2009 Reno National Championship Air Races.

10. Robert “Hoot” Gibson taxiing back after an Unlimited Gold heat in Mike Keenum’s Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 “Riff Raff” (Race 99) at the 2009 Reno National Championship Air Races.

11. Edward P. Soye is seen flying the Great War Flying Museum's replica Fokker Dr.1 Triplane (C-GFJK) during a Dawn Patrol at the 2006 Geneseo, NY Airshow.

12, The Warbird Heritage Foundation’s Douglas A-4B Skyhawk departs AirVenture 2010 in Oshkosh, WI to perform in the jet warbird show. It is painted to represent an A-4C flown by LCDR Ted "T.R." Swartz, who flew off of the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31) during the Vietnam War. On May 1, 1967, LCDR Swartz shot down a MIG-17 over North Vietnam with an unguided ZUNI rocket. This was the only air-to-air kill by a Skyhawk during the Vietnam War.

We have provided a Screen Resolution Compatibility list on the webpage that shows what other formats apply to each of these resolutions so you can apply the correct resolution for your computer screen. A link to the webpage that outlines the instructions for loading any of the desktop calendar or wallpaper selections is located at the bottom of the page.

OUTSTANDING as usual. I love the A-4B Skyhawk which was one of the terrific group of classic vintage jet warbirds I saw at Oshkosh in July. Maybe you can include some of the other jets from EAA AirVenture 2010 in your future calendars.
