What a coincidence, I have a book "Weapons of World War II" and just last night started on the German aircraft section. One of the aircraft shown (as a drawing) is a Bf 110C-4 of the 26th German Destroyer Wing , France, June 1940 with a sharks mouth. Markings on the side of the plane:
M8(then the German black & white cross) then EP.

Your mission (if you decide to accept it): Help create the web's largest assortment of sharkmouth pics. Whether you love 'em, hate 'em, or just sit comfortably on the wall, now's your chance to prove that the sharkmouth truly is nature's most overdone warbird artwork.

I begin the frenzy with a Spitfire of the 307th FS.

(Blame Nathan, as his hideous paint job thread inspired this  )

Painted on not because it looks like a P-40, but because it IS a P-40.

Well, Hairy... I did say "sharkmouth" rather than "grandma".

But you nailed the spirit of this thread. I'll try to convince the mods to keep it IF you can come up with something that still appears to have its natural teeth.

Captain K.G. Pulliam Jr. standing beside his decorated Nieuport 27 at the US Air Service Training Center, Issoudun, France, May 21, 1918. He called this airplane the Jazbo.

And one of the first combat aircraft to use a shark mouth motif, look closely at the cowling in the lower left corner of this photo:

1st Lt. Ralph O'Neill of the US 147th Aero Squadron was the pilot, France, 1918, he's not in the photo, these are his mechanics.

And a modeler's rendition of the aircraft
