Check out this piece of Unobtainium! This sure is a rare item! I purchased five Powerball tickets for the mid-week drawing so maybe I can place a bid.

I think between that outboard wing section on a stick and this turret, we could probably build an airplane out of that.

Wow, that's pretty neat. Was this a known existence, or is this something that is a surprise for everyone?

Isn't there another turret from a B-32 on display in another museum, maybe in Calif?

The CAF has one, but it's not a ball turret.

Don't know much about Dominators. Is the example for sale a nose turret?

Yes, it looks like it is a nose turret to me as well. Now that I think about it, a B-32 wouldn't have a "ball" turret anyway.

We could use Taigh Ramey or maybe John Szabo to chime in here but I think the B-32 had a Sperry ball turret just like the B-24 but I'm not sure about that. The A-17 nose and tail turret in the B-32 were just about the same turret I think. Not like the situation with the late B-24s with an Emerson A-15 in the nose and an A-6 in the tail. I think John Szabo's A-17 is "NOS" but I don't know anything about the one on ebay. I've requested the seller post or email some interior shots so maybe the history of this A-17 will turn up. Anyone know who the seller is?

*sometimes the more "spherical" nose turrets were also called "ball" turrets so it does get a bit confusing.

Ooops! I stand corrected.

Looking at that pic, I think the ebay one looks like a nose turret (or tail).

NASM has a Dominator turret also.
