Thanks very much for the photo update. It sounds like things are going to be quite busy at MeierMotors. A Flugwerk Fw-190D re-engined with a Jumo is in the works??, among many other projects!

Thanks for taking the time to update us, Matthias. Sounds like you have a mini Chino out there.

Jerry Yegan took over the Fw190D of Tony Blair and the engine collection of Glen Lacy. This fighter will be build up with a original Jumo213 !!!!!! The revision of that engine will be made by Vintage V12´s . MeierMotors hopes to get the job and they will travel the next weeks to Virginia and talk a bit  *thumbs up ... hope that they will get the job

That's interesting....

Is there any info as to why the Allison engine combination never got off of the ground? Was it just a choice of a new buyer, lack of airworthiness approval, or a just a failure? It seems a shame after all of the work for this engine swap. But any Dora getting into the air is very exciting but I guess the wait will be a little longer.

Also, what happened to the beautiful Jumo 213 built up by Dirk Bende that almost looked ready to install?

Any chance of seeing something like that ? :D (1)

(1) of course, if the orginal engine and cowling parts have been preserved.
