hi all,

I got around to editing some of my pics from Thunder. Again it was an amazing experiance. I wish everyone could have been there. It was my first TOM show and everything was perfect for the warbird nut. It was great to see so many B-17's together. Also three B-17 restoration projects where on site to display their work. It was truelly a moral booster to see so many positive people that hope to see a few more B-17s in the sky someday! :D It really gave hope to me and I am sure others. Also got to say hi and thank yous to a few vets. There must have been 7 or 8 buses that brought WWII vets to the airshow grounds. It was really touching. The B-17's made a ton of passes. Texas Raiders made all her passes with the gear down. Some tech problem but nothing serious. Also Witchcraft took off with the B-17 flight only to land. I was told a leaky oil cooler. Kudos to Jim Harley! :D I was also lucky in seeing my first B-52 fly by. Only one pass but it was pretty cool! I also met a lot of WIX'ers. Some lurkers, and some other folks from the HAG board and the airshowbuzz forum! Also saw my first flight of a F-100. That was a special moment for me!

Well I will shut up now...time for some pictures. Hope you like. Nothing grand. But maybe it will fill the void for those that could not attend. :)

Thanks for that, Nathan. No need to be too modest about the pics, good go!

This one's neat...

...and you could improve it no end by bending your knees and losing the SUVs in the background. A photo tutor once told me "Your camera isn't fixed six feet high..." and I've never forgotten it.

Just a thought,
