Dan K, thanks for the PBY coverage. Get a close up of the nose art if you can. It's a hoot!

Lowell Thompson, are you a Waco fan? NC32071 belongs to long time Waco guy Jack Hill from N.C. and 32033 is a brand new restoration from Ohio wearing it's original colors again. I don't recognize the green one.

Airic, sorry to hear about the knee. I feel your pain. Dude, I really like the Tri-Motor engine shot over the lakeshore.

I remember going to the museum to get a look at hte YP-51 and the 1/72nd U.S.S. Enterprise, only to be told that they were off limits. That's fine and all, but it's not every week that you invite the entire world to your museum, only to close a big chunk of it off.[/rant]

I ran into that problem last year but finally got in after several visits to the museum. The carrier model is almost worth the visit by itself. What they could do is put a notice in the informational literature they hand out on what times the Eagle Hangar will be closed so visitors wishing to see certain exhibits can time their trip to the museum accordingly.

Saturday was a blast and a great way to end the week at Oshkosh for us. What started as a overcast day turned out pretty nice. Heritage flight looked good with the two P-38s. This was the first night show for me and it was real exciting. Finished with fireworks and the wall of fire explosion.

Eric, excellent photos! I am so glad you got such great shots of the night-show - what an awesome experience that was! (of course except for trying to get out :) )

Unfortunately my ride home left on Thursday morning. Looks like it was the worst day to leave as there were a lot of surprises like the MiG-21 flying....oh well.

Hey, does anyone have a pic they could post of the Warbirds in Review the day Bob Hoover was there with the Vintage Wings of Canada Sabre? It also took place after we left but I know the pilot of that particular Sabre quite well.
