The DC-7 is en route at this time - estimated arrival just before/at around 12:30 today.

I can't get out there until Saturday/Sunday - it's going to be a long week! I grew up seeing the DC-7 parked at the St. Paul downtown airport, and I cannot wait to see it in its new-found glory.

With all the rain I have heard it referred to as SLOSHKOSH

Excellent!

For those online, I think the 18/36 cam and South Tower ATC (126.6) will help confirm her arrival. Too bad the cam makes up its own mind when to swing!

I was thinking a time exposure, more like the one on airventure.org. I have a nikon with a 17mm and a 28. Like to get a trail of lights with some ground in the foreground.

I'm thinking f8 (Maybe 11) and be there with 200 speed film. I will have my digital with me so I can take a couple quick ones with that to get the exposure close.

Sounds like we're going to need hip-waders.

Don, Good point. I was not thinking of that kind of a shot.

On the way up today my wife and I stopped in at Kenosha and visited Mark Watt at Chuck Greenhill’s place. Nice light to shoot the birds on the ramp.

Nice pics, Eric...shades of the old NATA clinics there.

Just watch out for all the state troopers on Hwy 41 as you approach Fond du Lac...it's their "happy hunting season" this week!

Good to know. I’m driving up each day from Germantown and I’m always a little heavy footed. Sun is up and can’t wait to get there. Tons of interesting aircraft there I have never seen before.

Ah yes good old "radar hill" I remember back in the day when I lived down there. A cop would be on the over pass with the radar and they would have a line of squads ready to chase down the next speeder. With the revenue problems this state is having I'll bet they'll be stepping up enforcement.

They're still doing that off the bridge at County Road B (Exit 92) just south of Fondy. From there up to OSH you're fair game. Just trying to save WIXers some coin!

Next report on KOSH field conditions at 9:00 AM local.

http://www.airventure.org/aircraft/parking_status.asp

Weather's nice so it shouldn't be long now. Fly safe everyone. I think KOSH ATC is going to be VERY busy today.
