Wow! Those are some rare manuals. You have the only copy I have ever seen of an Emerson A-15 manual intended for the turret's use as a tail turret in the B-24. The first shipment of A-15 turrets to Ford's B-24 plant was intended to replace the A-6 Consolidated tail turret. They were quickly modified to be installed in the nose of the B-24 once it was determined it was needed there first. These manuals would be very valuable as a complete set to me, and probably a few others as well. I would love to make you an offer but in any event, I'd sure like to pay for some color scans of them no matter where they wind up. I'll send you a PM.

You guys are fast. OB'98 posted this at 9:51 AM and I responded as soon as I saw it, at 11:59 AM and I still missed them! I guess I should have sent the PM first, before I posted a reply on the forum.

I'm still curious about the Emerson "Dumbo" turret. OB'98 says it refers to a Navy 250CH turret but I wonder what dash number? "250" means two .50 cal guns. "C" stands for Cylindrical design and "H" stands for Hydraulic powered. The A-15 (AAF designation) in the Navy PB4Y (B-24) was electric. I can't come up with an image for a Emerson cylindrical hydraulic turret that was called a "Dumbo". I've never even heard of that name much less seen it printed on a manual. What am I missing?
