Warbird Information Exchange

As always, I used Mike's AerialVisuals to find aircraft on our vacation route; this was the only one I got on the way here, and I need help identifying it. It's a UH-1B, but no serial is listed on AV, and the tail number has been repainted with the name and number of the DAV Post. On the side, in mailbox lettering, is "UH 1 ADP200847A". 62-0847 isn't a UH-1B, so any help in identifying this bird would be great, thanks!

edit: Brainfart, sorry Andy! DAV Post #59, Hamlet, NC. Coming from Columbus, OH to North Myrtle Beach.

A bit of a challenge, as you don't actually say where "here" is, or where you were coming from!
Looks like the one at Hamlet NC to me. It's identity is indeed unknown. I suspect contact with the DAV is required to gain some info.

Just copying the URL (as I did with the first link) doesn't always work since ofter the parameters needed to recreate the page you want are not always in the URL. The Forum Link text is the best method.


Andy likely didn't want to mention this, as he would likely want to avoid self promotion, so I will mention it for him. He has a revised edition of "Military Out of Service, U.S." coming out soon. I have already preordered by copy. It is an excellant reference and anyone who searches out these roadside warbirds should carry a copy. It can be obtained via here...
