I really ought to point out the "stacked washers" are in fact two threaded studs, the entire item being made of stainless steel.

Anytime you find yourself in the UK, let me know and I'll sort out a couple of sites you can rummage through for bits and bobs to your heart's content.

Thanks for bringing this thread back to the front page, Don. I was sitting in the MX office and had the IPC on the desk, so here are a couple of illustrations.

The 15-7600-11 is, indeed, a deicer boot fairing strip as shown here:

This is a better photo of the hat channel that you found, Paul. This member is in the inner wing just outboard of the #2 fuel tank bay, but the channels look very much similar further out.

The "box" with 1 1939 stamped on it is still a mystery to me. There is no such number in the Parts Catalog for the aircraft. I suspect your suspicion about it being a turret part might be right, Paul. :?:
