This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Maybe I will too. Not sure if that's an incentive or disincentive!

Thank you James. Either way, I'll consider it a compliment.

Oshkosh is very crowded. The heat and humidity can be oppressive. The traffic can be a pain. It's the highlight of my summer!!! Only 54 days to go!!! Hopefully I can make the WIX gathering this year.

Can't wait to see you there man!

Traffic? Your our of your mind. I can get out of the parking lot in minutes after any day of the show. EAA should run schools on traffic flow. I have been to MANY smaller shows with tiny crowds, yet I sit forever not moving.

I agree 100% I have never sat in traffic for more than 2 or 3 minutes. Amazing when you think of just how many people are there.

In my opinion camp out in camp scholler, or just spend some time at the beer ball! Those who have been there know where that is!

They could have used the traffic cops at The Gathering of Mustangs. What a traffic nightmare that was.

It was only really bad on Saturday because there was a major wreck on the Interstate which everybody took to get to the airport and caused massive detours. It was a nightmare, as I missed half the show on Saturday when it took me 5 hours from the time I left my hotel in Columbus until I was on the flightline. Sunday was much better, though, it only took me a hour and a half.

About the traffic, don't get me wrong I've dealt with worse traffic at time leaving the local short track after the race. My point is no matter what the frustration is that keeps you from Oshkosh the actual experience is well worth anything frustrating you may encounter there. Oshkosh is the highlight of my summer. Of course about 95% of my time is spent in the warbird area.

Even in the dead of winter, Wixers are able to find the beer area!

Looks like a takeover by things Douglas: DC-2, DC-3, and now DC-7.
