Hi Guys:

I was just looking at the Ford Mustang 427R owned by Jack Roush and I noticed a picture that was a bit surprising, but as I am sure you can all imagine, I was quite pleased..... Here it is:

Image

The Mustang is silver and trimmed in olive green that matches this picture. What I am wondering is, what is it? It looks kind of like a gas cap to me, with the lock at the top, but we can't find any pictures of the car that shows it. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

Karen

Its a faux gas cap (60's Stang had em) that now houses the trunk key lock. That Mustang is his P-51B Special Edition that he made a few of in 09.....the A model was 2008.

Thank you so much! Yes, now that you say it, I see that it is a trunk lock. I had a 1964 1/2 Mustang, and a 1970 Fastback, and I remember that badge....it was a little different, obviously, but recognizable.

Thank you very much for the link too. That is an absolutely outstanding picture!

I own a 1966 fastback, and love the new Stangs. I'd love to get one of the P-51 Editions, but have too many other projects
