I did read that this is an A-36, so the orgin of this beauty is clear.

You're gonna have J-C beating his head against the wall and then he won't be able to
fly it or play in his rock band  :?

If I hear "is that a Merlin or an Allison" one more time I am going to beat my head in...This is a true B/C Mustang. The A-36 was purchased from the Paul's by Collings and it is currently at American Aero Services in New Smyrna Beach Florida. No A-36's were harmed in the restoration of this Mustang.

jim harley

ps heard there was another B being built up at shop in the north west

Ah...no worries...the whole "is it an Allison?" is an inside joke with Collings. People are constantly walking up and asking if it is an Allison. Drives us batty. For years MustangsMustangs has listed Bee as an A-36, leading to ALOT of confusion. I think the History Channel has alot to do with it as well...they give people just enough information to be annoying...and wrong. The true scoop comes directly from the Paul family. It's a really nice airplane. Would be really cool to get all the razorbacks together...A's B's C's and the ABD :P

Bring them all to Oshkosh. It would be cool to have a family portrait with all the razorbacks and the XP-51.

The only A-36 in Idaho is a Beechcraft
