Just recieved this from Buddy Macon in Pensacola:

The museum in Pensacola fared extremely well. A little water damage to the main building. The Hurricane was barreling down on us, when at the last minute and I mean last minute it shifted. As a result the main crux of the storm hit Navarre which is about 20 miles to the right on the Tallahassee side. We were very fortunate to escape major devastation. The winds were projected to be 145 mph plus. Everyone here is accounted for and safe. Damage to houses and power loss aside, we were blessed.

I'm glad to hear this, I was mortified when I saw the Hurricane bearing down on the museum this weekend. Glad to see everything turned out.

The building in which the museum is housed is pretty stout. My concern would be the outdoor ramp displays which suffered last fall from Ivan and the possible flooding.

That is good news! Being away from TV and Radio I missed that is was heading that way, Until I found out a few Pilots for the CF live in that area.

How are the repairs going from last year?

I really can't wait to make a nother visit, I hope to stop by every couple of years, now that I have family starting to collect down south.

One of the guys that I work with lost one of his homes there in Navarre?. Said the roof completely dissapeared and everything else is waterlogged. He figures that they will have to bulldoze it all into dumpsters before they can rebuild
