I am guessing that Warbirds Digest will be there, but I suppose I could be wrong. That is where we met last year, their tent was easy to find, located right under the trees along the ill-fated hangar's ramp side. Saturday would work best for me, as we will be heading back for Wisconsin sometime Sunday morning, but let's see what works for everybody else. I will be there early for the pre-show photo tour on Saturday and should be available pretty much all day.
Looking forward to a FANTASTIC show!

Put me on the list for a strong hopeful... coming via
milwaukee/chicago... not sure whether I'm driving or
flying, but anyone know where they would put a
piper cherokee for the weekend (aka would anything
be available on the other side of the field?) otherwise
I may drive as well, but have to await the home front
clearance..
also any suggestions on hotels?

Hi Tom, Tim et al--
Yeah, Saturday appears to be the choice of anyone who's mentioned a specific day so far; I'll be there the Saturday only. Maybe a meet mid-to late-morning? We did group pix yesterday at Gennie with the Collings Foundation's Mitchell, but at Yankee many of the bombers are usually parked behind the active barriers. Warbird Digest now has quite a swank trailer which, if they have it at Yankee, would be very easy to spot as a meeting point, then we could choose an aircraft as a backdrop...?
Incidentally for anyone passing through Windsor, the first of the two GRP replicas that will be replacing Lanc FM212 as a memorial in Jackson Park is already in town, temporarily parked in another park on the riverfront, and strikingly painted in 417 Sqn RCAF sand-and-stone camo. A Hurricane replica is to follow.

Todd Hackbarth is usually perched up on top of a yellow announcer stand. It is usually at the rear of the display area about 1/2 way down the length of the display area. Why not make that the meeting place? It stands out. I would suggest 11 AM when they usually clear the crowds out of the static are in front of what used to be the hanger to make that area and active zone. We could meet up, decide on a location for a group shot, and perhaps a base for hanging out when we aren't getting our pictures.
