Dataview #1: F/A-18 Hornet in United States service
The initial entry in the Dataview series covers the F/A-18 Hornet - the multi-role workhorse of the US Navy and Marine Corps. The design originated with Northrop as the P.530 in the early 1970s, flew as the YF-17 several years later, and entered service in the early 1980s as a naval aircraft built by McDonnell Douglas. Today, the evolved F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is being built by Boeing to re-equip Navy squadrons as a replacement for the F-14 Tomcat. This e-book, in .pdf format on CD-R, covers the Hornet's development and service history, and includes over 100 high resolution images, all in color.
