I am planning a trip to the South Pacific area next year that will happen to put me in the LA area the weekend of the Chino show.

Looking forward to being at this show for the first time. Can't wait to hear what the theme or themes may be.

Hmmm.....I was thinking I might skip the Chino show in 2010. I mean...I go every year.
Okay...now before several people beat the crud outta me.....of course I'll be there :)

And if you go to the website and the news and events link, you will find a 2010 events calendar which show the May 15-16 show dates.

I will keep this show on my radar. However, if I can save enough traveling $$$ I may opt for Reno later in the year. So many choices so little time/money.

Is it anywhere close to flying yet? Is that the goal for 2010?

Looking forward to this show very much. With "Salute to the Greatest Generation" planned as a theme it looks like WWII warbirds will be a major feature.

I love Vintage Jet Warbirds and I am particularly intrigued by an early listed Participant:

The "Ace Maker T-33" is scheduled to do a Demo May 15 and 16. This is a T-33 that is generally only seen in the West Coast area, so I am happy to be able to see this one.

The goal was to have it flying over a year ago, but it sure does look like it is nearly done!

Finished all our travel details this morning,
Now I have to plan out our places to visit while there.
One day in Marina Del Rey, 2 in Hollywood, 3 at Chino and one open day before we fly home.

Playing with points and miles, I booked our Air, Hotels and a rental car for the week, $395.00
I am a frugal son of a ....

Can't wait to see more details as they are filled in.

I'm out. There is almost no way that the budget will take a trip to California (or anywhere) right now or in the next couple months. :(

Can't do 2010, but seriously considering 2011. Especially if the P-59 is looking likely.
