Hey Gang,

There has been a lot of progress lately. We will try to keep the photos coming. Bomb Bay and Radio Operator / Bombardier's Compartment should be painted by the time we get the next photos up. Then all new Hoses and wiring will be installed through out the aircraft. Several thousands of dollars has been spent on new cockpit instrumentation which will be sent out for the appropriate silk screening. We did find a CDIA clock and replacement fuel gauge. Thanks Richard!

All of the radio operator's compartment windows were covered over by
the Canadian Navy when they did the conversion to a AS-3M. Here we are putting those windows back into place.

Does anyone know of a shop that already has templates for the cockpit placards? We hate to have to reinvent the wheel!

Pardon my ignorance, but where is this one being rebuilt?

Looks like some great work being done there. Is the plan to install all the radio compartment equipment?

Hi Matt,

Our TBM is being restored in Southern PA....near the Maryland Border. About an hour and twenty minutes NW of Baltimore.

Jack Kosko and his team just finished a T-50 restoration for Mid Atlantic and they had restored
another TBM there several years ago and donated it to Mid Atlantic Air Museum.

Yes, we are planning to restore the Radio compartment and bombay to original and I have been
looking for those items.

See my other post under this forum......TBM Radio Compartment

Have you been in touch with the group that is restoring a TBM in ChristChurch, NZ?

I'm in Christchurch and I'm unaware of a TBM in New Zealand. However there is a TBF on display at the Airforce Museum (heres their contact details: info@airforcemuseum.co.nz )
And there is another TBF under restoration to static up in Auckland at the Museum of Transport and Technology ( contact details: enquiries@motat.org.nz )

I'll post on Wings over New Zealand here in case someone else can assist.
Cheers
Baz
