Well I finished another one a few weeks back, the Hasagawa 1/72 F-106A. Not a bad kit but lacks detail. I added a throttle, "Y" shaped yoke, and the radar scope in the cockpit. I also detailed and corrected the ejection seat and wheel wells. The main gear wells are totally inaccurate so I fixed those and detailed them. I used the Aeroclub closed weapons bay doors which was a big help. I also added the anti-collision beacon and the refueling receptacle on the spine, and added the two data link antennas by the hook.
It was tough to choose decals for this one but in the end I marked her up in the colors of the 5 FIS.
I am working on two helicopters for my next build(s) – a Ft. Rucker UH-1H Huey and an overall orange UH-34 Seabat from HT-8. Stayed tuned…
