C45 CFI needed in IN

Fri Jan 29, 2010 9:40 am

A buddy of mine is soon to be the proud new owner of a C45 (H model, I think). Once he takes possession, he has to get 25 hours with a qualified CFI, then 10 more with any pilot before he can haul his family around (to Warbird events and air shows). The plane will be based at my airport in Terre Haute, IN (KHUF).

My friend said he had the names of 2 or 3 pilots that might be able to help him out. I thought I'd try to lend a hand and see if there was anyone else in (or coming through) the Illiana area that would be willing to assist him. Any you guys close enough, or fly through Indy, or know anyone who'd wanna help? I'll try to get folks together so he's ready for the season!

When it comes down to it, we'll make just about anything work to get him checked out. Several of us have light planes, so we can help transport pilots to base.

Recommendations where else I might look or spread the word for qualified pilots would also be appreciated.

Matt, shoot me an email. My dad is a really high time twin beech guy from his freight dog days. He's a CFI as well.

Did you call Doug? He checked out Mark Godsil (AT-11) up in Galesburg, IL. Mark is coming to STL in a couple weeks & staying with us while he gets his CFI. You might contact him. I'm sure he'll be ready to do some flying. See you at Doolittle. We'll have a tow bar for you.
