Fat Cat looks pretty complete, just a few bits and bobs, perhaps wings and a tail would help, but she has a nice interior.

Interesting images Gary, what's the story on these two Harpoons?

Hey Al....Not sure about the why or how both PV's ended up where they are. The museum is evidently understaffed and as I was told, a person has to arrange for a private tour by a volunteer...I got there...(Abbyville, La) late in the evening, and there was nobody around....I left a fistful of business cards in both planes, and stuffed them in the museum's main door, to get somebodys attention and a response....no joy yet..Getting my camping gear together for my next visit...I will get some answers before long!!

A neighbor passed away last year and his son came by last weekend
to ask if he could throw away some junk that his dad had in the basement.
I happened to have a construction dumpster next to my pole barn that the roofers
used and said have at it. His father was in the Air Force and an EAA member and G A pilot.
He brought over a trailer and I asked if his father had any aircraft stuff. He was about to throw away canisters of super 8
and I convinced him to keep it and find what's on it. He had a stack of EAA Sport Aviation magazines from the early 1990's.
A July 1994 issue had the results from the Sun-N-Fun aircraft winners. Under warbirds the Reserve Grand Champion was a
PV-2 Harpoon, N6857C, BU 37250, (cn 15-1216) which I found out to be "Fat Cat Too". Found pictures of it , what a stunner!! What happened?
Now it's sitting partially stripped and owned by a Bank And Trust. I've looked all over for info, Airliners .net, warbird registry,
found talk it may have had an incident (crash?) Joe Baugher doesn't have much either. What has the road it traveled since
being built look like?

Regarding Fat Cat Too, pilot pulled on gear handle thinking it was flap handle.
