I'm building a 1/32 scale model of the P-40K once owned by Bob Byrne and I'm trying to find someone that was associated with this bird or maybe just got to look inside of it to find out what color the cockpit was... There just doesn't seem to be many photo's floating around out there of this bird that I can find... Any help would be deeply appreciated... Thanks, Mike

I've got some photos of the outside but none of the cockpit.
What a nasty paint job :? Especially the the rudder was painted red.
Mike Smith-RIP liked to say that it looked like a pimp should be flying it  :!:

Hi Mr. Cook,
If you have some exterior photo's you could post would be nice...
I only have a couple I've found online... I know that wasn't the best of paint jobs although it's one of my favorite schemes for a P-40... I hope someday someone will paint one in those markings... My reason for doing the model of "Burma Rascal" is that I knew Mr. Byrne and he gave me my first ride in the T-6, T-28 and P-51 "Rascal" back in the early 80's and I'm slowly building up models of all his fighters... Thank you for your response... Mike

Thanks Al,
I appreciate exterior photo's as well since there not just not alot out there to be found... With each different exterior pic I see I'm noticing little details I didn't see before... Speaking of P-40's - I am also looking for a picture of the panda bear on Rudy Frasca's P-40E... I built a model of this bird last summer, but I'm lacking the panda... I need a photo I can downsize and put on decal paper... Thanks again for everone's help... Mike
