I love the UPT class patch on the side of the F-86.

That's got to be a first in the warbird community. I know I wouldn't put mine on an airplane like that! :)

I was wondering the same thing. i recall seeing it in Oshkosh many years ago but just assumed it changed hands and was in a new scheme.

Not surewhen it last flew, but it is just beautiful. As for the class logo on the nose, it is actually his son's graduating class logo.

The owner Tom is one of the real great treasures of the Warbird movement. He always has time for anyone he meets and is a great pilot.

I believe his son flew or still fly's F-16's and possibly went to an advanced school in the Air Force

Leaving Oshkosh several years ago Tom flew off my wing and I have never had anyone keep their station better then he did.

I believe he is in the running for the longest owner of a Mustang. Mike Bertz is the only one I can think of who might be close. I just passed 21 years so someday I may catch up.
