Thanks so much :D. Those are the Rover gas turbine but how about the Bonner Super Sapphire? In the Jan. issue of Aeroplane there is a book review on the Chippie and it mentioned the turbine power ones plus the aforementioned retractable gear ones done in the US. Would like to see an air to air of a retractable one :D :D :!: :!:
Guess I'll have to buy the book :!:
Thanks.

Land hard enough and they retract, getting them back down is the problem!

Thankx Sully, Is Scholl's the only one that was modified with retractable gear? Great video by the way :D .

Not sure of the provenance of the engine, some sources describe it as a "V6". I understand G-ARWB was returned to standard some years ago.

Thanx M-62A, That might be it but I don't know. Very interesting to say the least because I think just about every piston powered airplane has had a turbine installed or almost  .
We have a locally based Beech Duke that's gonna get the turbine conversion in a couple of months :!: :!: That'll raise the cruise up 100 kts  :!:

My Powerplant Instructor was Art's head mechanic, and confirmed it was from a Viking....among other details I learned from my endless badgering the poor man for details of the aircraft and what had been done to them....
