The Lafayette Foundation Museum at Platte Valley Airport NE of Denver is fund raising to bring their 3 Fokker replicas, and two SE-5a replicas, to Oshkosh this summer, to be displayed on Aeroshell Square along with a mini museum of WW1 uniforms and artifacts. It's a non-profit 501c-3 so all donations are tax deductable, http://www.lafayettefoundation.org . Now, which P-51 pilots out there are up to try a formation flight with a Fokker Triplane?? Could it be done at 110 mph?

The SE-5as are 7/8 replicas, a full size one is almost ready to cover at the museum

Nope, not with the laminar-flow wing of a Mustang. Not unless the Triplane dives.

But it's been done with a Spitfire and a Camel.

That's old news, we need a new disparate formation. Maybe somebody will show up with a '109...

In that case, stick around an extra week and take the planes to Thunder Over Michigan! 109 and 262 scheduled there!

Somehow I think that if they tried it with the 262 it would be go from a disparate formation to a desperate formation....

It'll be fun to see the WWI birds at OSH. It's been way too many years since I've been so I'm going to try to fly something (I'm not sure what) out there.
