Post a picture of the air cleaner you are looking for. I have a neighbor that is into restoring flat head Fords. He may have something I can talk him out of...

I will get a picture as soon as I can. I do most of my WIXing at work....I know, I know, get to work! It has been really difficult lately since the format has changed to get on (our computers run IE5) and tough to get on at home with a 3 y/o daughter and a 8 1/2 month pregnant wife!!!!

I will do my best to get some pictures tonight!

Here are those pictures of the oil bath air cleaner. The top is in great shape. The lower is cracked around the flange where it mounts to the carb.

I talked to my neighbor. He indicated that they do not look familiar to him as Ford or Mercury V-8 air cleaners. He thought it may be a cleaner from a six cylinder engine.

The flathead 8's that he deals with have the carb intake aimed aft. We have some swap meets here in the spring. I'll keep an eye out.

Long Time, no posts.
Just to let everyone know, the Brooks Van Ette (which we have found photos of showing it as a welding truck with a giant arc welder and bigger liquid cooled generator in the back) and the Sno-Go snow plow are being "de-assesed" at the museum. If anyone is interested in these vehicles please contact the Yankee Air Museum.

Any news about the fate of this vehicles, specialy the Van and the associated restoration effort?

I still cant believe YAM didn't think these two ground vehicles were important to restore. They should have:

1. Sent both vehicles to an outside restoration shop somewhere.
2. Put both in storage if funds and time weren't available.

They'll want them later and are an important part of the history there. Ugh.
