Yes, I've always liked that one. I think the guys had too much fun making it though.... :)

Both those videos are great! I'd never seen either.

Now, the first one was created on a computer game right? While the other one was created in a CG studio, or some fancy program?

And, was the second video done by the same guy that put together this one?

I know for a fact that this video managed to trick a real Mosquito veteran to believe it was real. It is really well done, except for the tail light at the end.... but dang.... great stuff.

Peace,

David McIntosh

Yes, the first one was done in Flight Simulator X. Dunno about what they did the others in, but it wasn't any gaming/simulation platform I know of.

I'm thinking about getting FSX. Does anyone know if there's a newer version coming out soon? Or would it be better to just get FSX?

Also, looking on youtube there were some FS9 vs. FSX videos and I couldn't really understand what they were getting at. Is it that the scenery and effects of the program have gotten worse, or better?

Thanks,

Dave (Confused)

From what I've heard it's going to be quite a while before they come out with a new version.

Yeah, the most likely "next" release is from an addon developer called "Aerosoft". They are developing a new simulator. There are also rumors of another Microsoft version being developed at Microsoft Game Studios, but MS is being very mull on that right now. As well, some of the former ACES team (the ones that made Flight Simulator & Train Simulator) have formed a new company called "Cascade Studios" that has indicated it will be working on a new simulator, but no word on if it'll be flight or train (Train Simulator 2 was closer to completion than Flight Simulator 11) and any timeline.

If you want to see some well made "in-game" videos, visit here - http://www.jaggyroadfilms.com/

This guy does great work on several different platforms and has become very sought after to do work for commerical projects promoting new commercial sims (like SpaceShuttleMission 2007) and addons (like those from A2A Simulations).
