Round Trip?? was this ever the name of an Aircraft in WWII?

Recently I have been trying to find out, if there was ever
a US bomber or fighter in WWII with the name Round Trip or Round Trip Ticket? Ive seen both these names before... but would like to know if such an aircraft existed and what squadron or unit it was in and what the nose art for it looked like... can anyone help with this or fill me in???

Wally Foreman's book on B24 Nose Art lists 6 different B24s named Round Trip or Round Trip Ticket.

How about the B-17 in the boneyard near the end of the movie "12 O'clock High"? I suppose it was have been an actual veteran of military service, though I couldn't say if it was a combat vet or not.

Was it in 12 o'clock high? I also thought there was one named that in The Best years of Our Lives

It was in Best Years of Our Lives.... I Know the scene The Captain goes out in search of a job when he comes home, and winds up walking through that aircraft grave yard. Then that guy shows up and ruins his fun and flashbacks in the nose of the B17 and tells him theyre breakin em up for pre fabricated houses. good movie.... One of my favorites. The reason I was searching for this particular aircraft was because I wanted to have an A2 jacket hand painted with its nose art on the back, but I couldnt very well do that not knowing which nose art was the original to the plane after seeing so many variations.

I though I ough to put in a word for the Navy. As some of you may know I am trying to find a publisher for a US Navy nose art book, myself and some friends have complied, but in lei of that I have been sharing some of the data and pictures here in the WIX Hangar, enjoy.
That brings me to the topic of a WW II aircraft with the name "Round Trip". The attach pic shows a TBM from VT-80 returning to the USS Ticonderoga in November 1944. Ensign Higman's aircraft had some flak damage but he was able to use his round trip ticket to get back to the boat. Who said the Navy don't have nose art?

Thanks for your interest, Gary; his name was Joseph V. Muscari. After Roundtrip Jack, he flew 22 more missions, mostly on "Rum Dum" until forced down into and interned in Switzerland for some months. With help from the underground, he made his way back to England and spent the remainder of the war in intelligence.
