Looks like one of Bob Pond's old Invaders is currently for sale as well:

http://vectaris.net/id614.html

Isn't this the one Bob bought at auction in Reno?

That's "Guns For Hire", that Rick Sharpe has been using in the Vietnam acts. I heard that his T-34 might be up for sale as well.

BDK,

The Pond collection has two Invaders. This one ("Invader") has been for sale since the Museum in Minnesota closed in 1997. The other is painted in a Navy color scheme...that's the one he bought at the auction in Reno.

The drone controller painted A-26 at Ponds was bought at the Denny Lynch auction. The other A-26 once belonged to Jerry Janes. Rick Sharpe bought it from Mrs Pond in 2008, it was the one outside at the museum. Rick renamed it Guns for Hire. He also listed his T-34 and Beech Staggerwing. Afetr the first one sells the others come off of the market. He's already bought another addition to add to the collection.

Is this the "Guns for Hire" you're talking about? Taken at Wings over Houston last October.

That's the one. Stuart Dawson was flying it at WOH, both days. Rick was flying his Skyraider during the Viet Nam segment.

One of the coolest just may be the full size 10lb Parrot rifle ! 1 lb of black powder per shot, we can set car alarms off from almost 3/4 mile away !

I know that an aeroplane owner is free to paint his plane any way he likes, but I cringed when I saw the number on the tail. That font does nothing for the look, neither does the full number with a dash. That's a sexy machine, and that colour scheme without the number would be really nice.

Anyway, back to my cave.

Cheers,
Matt
