Boise Bee is already flying isn't it??

I had heard that there is a Panther getting close to done in Chino - They were looking for a good engine about a year ago. Thats what I want to see!

I haven't heard of the Panther being restored to fly. Is this the POF's? I didn't know any restoration work had already begun on this. BDK, can you set the record straight?

POF is not working on theirs that I have seen, it is a static. Yanks has one they have just repainted which is also a static, but I don't think it is in the restoration queue for any mechanical work. Yanks might be looking for a rebuildable engine for the future, not that they would be likely to fly it. Knowing how hard it is to find someone qualified to overhaul one, it might make sense to get it done sooner rather than later.

Engine to complete and paint job to commence. Paint scheme will be great and then would love to see this one flying. Its only been NINETEEN years since recovery and ongoing restoration.

P47D-28-RA K4-S 'Dottie Mae' should be progressing well.
P40E 41-13570 '51' should also be progressing well.

Hope for a few more recoveries from Russia and Corsair/Helldiver from the States

Hey Rick, do you know anything abotu the A-4 in Elkhart, IN? It is privately owned and said to be being restored to airworthy. I have yet to see it. I keep waiting for the hangar to be opened when I am off and I am going to stop in there.

I'm sure it's one of the Maylasian C or L models. Heard that the guy wanted to sell it but could never get a name to find out for sure. Now we've got three to say grace over, don't need another just yet.

A local cropduster (yes, we have those up here too!), who has flown many different types for many, many years, has agreed to do the test flying. Not sure if he has much time, if any, in Yales, though.
I had heard that he and at least one other pilot were going to be checked out in Jim Mattice's Yale at Dunnville (3372/C-FGIR), but I'm not sure if that has been done yet.

Once the test flying is complete, we are going to organize a Yale event to feature 3399's first public flight. It is tentatively planned for the end of May at the moment. Hopefully we can have a few other Yales there, including the one in Dunnville, Dave Carlaw's from Peterborough, mine (of course! ) and possibly Hamilton's newest acquisition.
If you're interested, perhaps you can bring 3406 up for a visit. She was here before when Dave Keller had it.
