Re: Was pilot reincarnated-11 year old boy has experiences

I read about this kid many years ago. I think he would have about five at the time. Much to young to know the details he was spouting through studying.

Speaking of the Twilight Zone , I remember an episode similar to this story. Parents take kid to an airshow, kid climbs into a plane, takes off, and launches into an aerobatic routine. He lands in front of his frantic parents with no problem. Then the questions begin.

I would be interested in seeing this video. I didnt see it posted in this thread. For the record, I'm a believer.

That is from the 1956 movie I've Lived Before, in which airline pilot Jock Mahoney discovers he was the reincarnation of a pilot who died in World War I.

Admittedly I've always wondered if reincarnation could explain my deep interests in two areas: WWII Japan and the Aztec civilization, but since I've had a serious lack of "memories" like this boy had (other than the occasional interesting dream), I guess I'll only know when I get to the other side.

As mentioned by several people here this is an old story, at least six years old. I first saw it come to light in a documentary which was British, and it covered his story in detail with most of the things mentioned here already.

However, it covered similar cases including a young boy who claimed he was murdered in his last life in India , and they actually took him to "his" old house and met his last-life's mother. He knew creepily far more about her and the last-life than the pilot-boy did. He even reckoned he knew who murdered him. There was another case covered too of a boy, who had previously been a girl from memory in a remote place in Scotland. He drew a picture of his house, and told the family name. They actually tracked it down and went there, and sure enough the house he'd never ever visited was exactly as drawn, and a girl had been killed there (accidentally from memory).

Specialists were researching this and reckoned heaps of kids have regressive memories of past lives but quickly forget them. These few kids just haven't forgotten them.

Sorry if these details are sketchy but it's been years since I saw the documentary, and I can't remember the full details (near alone who I was last time around :D )

I personally can not wait to read about a kid (someday soon) who, while building model airplanes.., tries to forcefully combine together a C-97 and a PBY!!!!!!!!

Heres to you, mate!!!!

Ryan,
I'd like to add my consensus to your comment. From the Bible:
"And as it is appointed for men to die once,
but after this the judgement". Hebrews 9:27

There is a spiritual world, that has among other things spiritual laws just as the visible world has physical laws. I suggest that the boy is experiencing a form of demon influence.

In the article called “The Past Life Memories of James Leininger” (as per the link from Ken,
http://www.ianlawton.com/cpl3.htm) it states:

“Bruce and Andrea say they began to see signs of a spirit linked with their son when James was 20 months old. While moving from Richardson, Texas, to Lafayette in February of 2000, Bruce took James to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, Texas.”

That explains everything….

I went there for the first time in 1997. I have been having nightmares ever since, but mine are related to oil spills, dirty windows, carburetor rebuilds, and aircraft tug brakes not working properly.

I wonder if there are some strange forces emanating from the Cavanaugh Flight Museum.

First, I will say I am not a religious person. I do however believe in energy, good or bad. I was discussing this story with a fellow coworker today who is highly religious. Thankfully, he doesn't preach and he is very curious about other peoples beliefs, as I am. His first thought on this story was the kid was demonically possessed. We both agreed that in order for a possession to happen, it was through a transfer of energy from one being to the other. I then asked if he thought it was possible if good energy could also be transferred. It was cool to see his eyes widen and accept that that was possible. So maybe the kid is possessed??? Does that mean its a bad possession? I'm not trying to stir a religious debate, but sometimes both (all??) sides need to step back and look at all possibilities. A young pilot dramatically lost at sea in the wide open Pacific would have a large amount of energy that could take a long time to find some other energy to join.

My Mother has believed in God since she was a child, but didn't drag us to Church either. I rarely saw her reading the Bible. God wasn't discussed much in my dwelling where ever that may have been at the time, and with an alcoholic Father, we were doing good to have a roof over our heads.
There is 18 years between me and my brother, and with him, Mother had been so busy that there was never any talk of Church or God. (ya had to have been there). Well, when my little brother was 5 he was sitting at the table having his Cherrios, and out to the blue, he looked at my Mother and said..."Before I was here, I was with God" and went right on eating his little O's. I raised my eyebrow like Mr. Spock does, and Mothers jaw I swear, hit the floor. Mother had been teaching him his ABC's and writing (kindergarden stuff) as we couldn't afford pre-school or daycare, so there was virtually no outside influances on him. How does one explain a 5 year old coming out with "Before I was here, I was with God"?

Watch the news. When someone murders several people and is later questioned, then says something to the effect, " the voices (or a particular unconventional name) told me I should kill these people to bring peace..etc. or many similar occurrences. What would you say that is? The Law of Gravity was in effect in the 1400's and is in effect today. These things happen irrespective of time. By the way, the people in 1400 thought they were as modern as we think we are today. 200 years from now, we will be the "ignorant" ancients.

I ordered the book a couple of days ago. I'm not religious at all, but I don't arbitrarily rule out reincarnation - I don't think religion has anything to do with it, myself. I too have heard of similar stories over the years. It would have been interesting to drop him into a Corsair and do a blind cockpit check with him. Is that a mistake on the cover of the book - the double wing insignia - or was that ever carried on a Corsair? I've seen it on the bottom of some P-47s and Marauders in Europe around the time of the invasion.

It's Schizophrenia, the symtoms of which closely mirror those exhibited by people who end up running the various cults & religions or claim to hear the various gods speak to them. There is a very fine line between being mentally unbalanced & being passively religious. The people who are agressively religious are obviously unhinged.

It seems those who turn to religion for answers & apparently get them, merely have an attack of common sense & interpret that at as some other worldly BS. Sam Harris seems to be on the right track.
