Dean's Hun is hardly a secret. Been in Air Classics, etc for the last 5-6 years at least. Just doesn't show up at many shows.

Dean Cutshall's beautiful F-100F Super Sabre is a VERY Rare and infrequent air show participant and the FEW appearances he has made in the last several years have mostly if not all been in Indiana (based in Fort Wayne).

That appearance in the opening of the show at Indianapolis (Saturday only) in August 2008 was the last show appearance I believe.

He supposedly was originally scheduled to open the show at Indianapolis in June of this year, but something got screwed up and the Super Sabre was removed from the schedule a week or so before the show. I had plans to go but canceled when the Super Sabre was scratched (along with several other warbirds).

The Indy show is apparently trying to gt Dean and the F-100 back for June 2010. If this is firmed up AND holds up, maybe I'll get a chance to finally see this beautiful plane in flight.

Dean flew the Hun at the 2006 Terre Haute Show and participated in a Viet Nam rescue Scenario with "Naked Fanny, John Russman's O-2 and a NG Huey.
It was neat to see them all in the sky at once. One of my crew use to work Hun's in the CT ANG so he was all excited to get to help out with launch and recovery.

That thing has to cost a fortune to operate, but it's really a shame we never get to see it. It belongs at Oshkosh every year.

Shouldn't the title of this post be "Da Nang an F-100 at an airshow in 08!" :)
