Here are a couple of photos of the SNC-1 on display at the National Naval Air Museum,
Pensacola, Florida. Aircraft serial number is 5194 and is ex N8012J.

The Evergreen a/c is a A-22, the civilian version with a lower profile canopy.

Always thought it looked a bit like an anorexic T-6. Looked lighter and more delicate. How well did it fly? Really have not heard much about this bird.

Always loved the looks of the CW-22 / SNC-1, it just has that art deco inspired design that so many concept airplanes had, but very few actual production planes retained. Interestingly I came across someone with a tattoo of one a few months back and I posted it at Tattoos In Flight...

Dear all, I´ve been reading this forum for a while but this is my first post.
I´d like to show you something and also ask for help.
I´m a volunteer for the AAMA - Asociación Amigos Museo Aeronáutico of Uruguay (Friends Association for the Aeronautical Museum).
One of our present projects is the restoration of the only Curtiss Falcon SNC-1 of the several that were used by the military aviation in Uruguay.
This aircraft was partially destroyed in a fire back in the 90´s.

After searching a lot on the web, I couldn´t find any other SNC-1 with this detail on the wing, near the pitot probe.

It looks like there were remains of another CW in the background of your first photo. Was this combined from several wrecks? Of course you're welcome to show us more from the museum.

There was and is only 1 Curtiss Falcon. I wasn´t there when wreckage photos were taken, so really don´t know what airplane they belong to.
We are really confused about the "device" I noted on ths last 2photos as there´s so few information about this airplane. None of all the Curtis sFalcon that flew in Uruguay had any device on the wing, but this one.
