I didn't see anything today; my office window overlooks gum trees. However, yesterday I saw CAC Mustang VH-JUC, an SNJ4 and a P-40F tootling around the skies near Melbourne. All of them were owned by the inimitable Judy Pay and doesn't that P-40 look a million bucks! Someone remarked how, with the long chin, the nose of the -F looks like the nose of a Firefly. Astute observaton, I thought.

I got a real treat today! I got to watch Sikorsky S-58T N6BL of 5-State Helicopters, Inc., hoisting air conditioner units onto the top of a new school building in north Lewisville, Texas! The aircraft was stunning to look at in her glossy candy apple red paint scheme with silver graphics, up there gleaming in the Texas sun! I sat there for about 20 minutes, just watching the helo going back and forth between the parking lot and the building, carrying one A/C unit after another. Great free entertainment! :D

But wait. . . There's more!

While I was sitting there, a beautiful blue and yellow Stearman biplane cruised by overhead! :D (Probably from Cavanaugh Flight Museum, as their usual route for Flight Experiences takes them right over this area).

I am truly embarassed to admit that I did not get any photos. The battery in my @#$&! cell phone had gone dead! :x :Hangman:

I saw the helo on my way hoime too Dean! It was causing qutie the back up on I-35E around 4ish this afternoon. Best reason for a traffic jam I've seen in a long time. I missed the Stearman. I had my camera in the seat, but couldn't get a shot while driving w/o causing a bigger traffic jam with the wreck I would have caused.

I think I saw two OV-10s. Does the military still fly them?

Iamgrounded,
Welcome to the funny farm, it appears that the Seattle/ Everett area is starting to blossom with WIXers! Are you involved with Sessions' project? Because when it's up and running its gonna be something else, maybe they will fly opposite weekends from FHc across KPAE.

Thanks for the welcome.

Today (Sunday, 27 December) I saw a flight of two Nanchangs...and, Grumpy, still on the ground.

It wasn't flying but, I spotted a Fairchild C-123K on the ramp at KEWN. (New Bern, NC). Camo scheme.
"NE" on the vertical fin. Looked airworthy to me. Didn't have a camera with me.

Saw lots of stuff Sunday at the Cable Airport Airshow (Upland, CA)- 2x P-51, POF P-38, BT-13, PT-22, CAF FM-2 & L-2(?), Clay Lacy with his turbine powered Helio Courier and tons of antiques.

Great little show and only $7 to get in.

I saw a T-38 from Vance AFB, yesterday. No big deal, you say ?

It is when Randiy Haskin is in the back seat ! :D
