T-6G 49-2897 N7197C: Current status/photos?

Sun Dec 06, 2009 1:55 pm

Does anyone have current info on this plane since it flipped over on landing in '02? Was it written off or repaired? Also, does anyone have photos? It was in an overall yellow USAF scheme with buzz number TA-897. Thanks!

This is/was the former Ed Huber machine, we called it 'Woodstock' because Ed had a picture of 'Woodstock' on it from the Charlie Brown cartoon......do seem to recall Ed had some kind of incident in it a number of years ago but also seem to recall him talking about it being in the shop being repaired....Ed was an ex F-111 driver and since the plane in the pics is at an Air Force themed show I would go with the idea that he still owns/owned it at the time these pics were taken.....could be wrong tho. Ed also used to fly our Skyraider that departed a few years ago for the Lone Star museum....

Love how in the pics they have the Lone Star F4U-5 labeled as a CAF bird.
