This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I suppose that, somehow, I was. Otherwise, there's no explanation for the tears by the end.
Never got to meet him yet still very sad and a moving video. Thanks for posting!

Nice video, almost always smiling, showing his passion for all things warbird.
"nice to see a pic of him with a N3N" and he was smiling, must have been leaking the appropriate amount of oil!

That was impossible to watch without falling apart. Alyson did a great job.

That video was a very nice tribute to Gary.
I can't say anything about Gary that has not already been said. Although I never met him in person, I am glad that I was able to interact with him here on WIX.
Rest in peace Gary.

I will agree with that! Nice job with the video. Promised myself I would not cry when I saw it, I didn't keep my promise. God Bless you Gary we are already missing you.

I've been away from WIX for awhile.
Don't know Gary from Moses, but he struck me as one of the good ones.
I had hoped to meet him one of these decades.
It goes to show me not to put things off.
Take it easy Gary. See you in New Zealand.

I added a little tribute to Gary in my last video of the year.
Thanks to Zack for letting me use a few clips from the EAA video.

That is great! When I watched the P-51's, they looked like the way my Dad described how they flew them! God rest his Soul, & God rest Gary's. You did good Dave, Thanks for posting that on Veteran's Day, I wish my Pop were here to see it.

Beautiful tributes there, I didn't have any contact with the fellow but can see what a tragic waste his passing is

sorry to bring this back to the top but i just saw it.
my heart goes out to all those who knew him well. it must be very hard.
to Gary, my thanks. during the initial Ol' 927 rebuild i was in a really bad head space and that thread was one of the few things that made me smile. even though he was working stupid hours he still took the time to answer my questions or respond to my suggestions. in hindsight watching him work over the net was probably one of the things that helped me get it back together. rest in peace Gary.

I can honestly say Gary's loss is something that I am not sure we as a group will ever fully be over. Many people here were closer friends with him than I was. I met him twice, and e-mailed a bit, but it did make me realize how someone that you know mainly from the web site can become closer than you realize.
