This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Gary's Mother asked me to pass along that there will be a memorial service for Gary at his home airport in Tennesee on 14 Nov 09.
It will be held at the General DeWitt Spain airport (KM01) in Memphis at 1600hrs. Wx permitting, there will be multiple flybys and a missing man formation.
Gary's ashes will be spread at the airport and his trophies and aviation awards will be displayed at Dave Peeler's hanger for the time being.
His Mother has specifically requested that all memorials and proceeds from any selling of his name or logo (Retro Aviation) be donated to the CAF B-29/B-24 squadron in Gary's name.

I received a message from one of the fellas helping with the DeWitt Spain memorial in MEM and he is requesting a head count in order to ensure enough food. I will post contact info as soon as I get it so we can all oblige. If anyone wants to RSVP to me, I will no doubt pass the info along.
mrstwaddle@yahoo.com is my address.

I think they should spread Gary's ashes in New Zealand.

This will be more of a wake and is, by the way, open to anyone. We just need a rough head count so we don't run out of food and refreshments.
Thanks
