When I visited Duxford earlier this month I had the pleasure of photographing a number of aircraft types that I had not before (mostly British types). I posted a picture of one of those, and I have no clue what is it. It appears to be a light low-wing single engine, but it looks like it is undergoing a rebuild so details are not obvious.

Who here can tell me what kind of a plane that it is. You can find a picture of it posted as the first picture in this album...

Feel free to let me know if you recognize any of the others.

TIA

Mike

Looks like a Nord or a Me-108 to me...

Mike,

You may see one of these at Geneseo. Dr. Bill has one stored in the hangar there for the past few years. He recently sold his 208 (Nord) so he may be currently restoring the 108.

Hi Mike,
It's a Messerschmitt Bf108, was (still may be?) under restoration by the Aircraft Restoration Co (ARCo) at Duxford, though it hasn't moved on at all in the last few years as far as I can see.
Cheers

Oh dear. Hose down the over excited Canucks. There's a CF-100 there too, just restored. The Lancaster at DX and one of the Lysanders are Canadian a/c too.

The aircraft at Duxford is a Nord 1002 Pengouin II, It is either G-ASTG c/n 183 from 1945 or G-ATBG c/n 121 also from 1945.
I'd tend to think it is the former but don't quote me on it

There's a great site about the residents at Duxford (http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/squar ... ebdoc1.htm). This site states it G-ASTG

I will eventually post more pics from Duxford, and another set taken in Holland once I process them all. My spare time is currently being consumed writing some software for Project North Star. I might get the pix posted in the next week or so.
